Community-Based Support
Building independence in the real world.
Who It's For
Community-based support is ideal for individuals ready to apply their learned skills outside the home. Whether it's navigating social settings, improving safety awareness, or participating in recreational activities, these services break down barriers to full inclusion.
What It Includes
- Supervised community integration activities (parks, stores, events)
- Functional skills training tailored to public environments
- Facilitated social skills groups and peer interactions
- Behavioral consultation to ensure safe community participation
- Direct connections to community resources
What Parents Can Expect
Expect a phased, supportive approach. We gradually introduce new community environments, providing prompting and positive reinforcement to build your child's confidence. Over time, we aim to reduce our direct support as the learner becomes more independent and self-assured in public settings.
